1. Who we are
SonhoGravity is a game for iPhone and iPad, with a test version for Android (section 6.6), made by L. M. PEREZ MONTANA, trade name SonhoLab, CNPJ 61.620.014/0001-00, Rua Fausto Cabral, 871, Casa A, Vicente Pinzon, Fortaleza/CE, 60181-227, Brazil ("SonhoLab", "we").
This notice covers only the SonhoGravity app. Our website and other services follow our Privacy Policy.
2. What we do not collect, and the optional online profile
SonhoGravity does not ask for or collect your name, email, phone number, location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone. It has:
- no advertising, no analytics and no tracking across apps or websites;
- no third-party software that collects data;
- no chat, voice or free text. Your in-game name is built from two fixed word lists and your picture comes from a fixed list.
The game does not ask for an email or an App Store account to play online. If you choose to turn on friends, the game creates an optional online profile: a random code made on your device, not linked to your name, your device or your Apple Account. Section 6.5 explains what it stores and for how long.
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising.
3. What stays on your device
The game saves on your device:
- your progress: best distance, daily challenge results and the colors and trails you unlocked;
- your settings, such as sound, vibration and language;
- the list of items you bought, which the game checks with Apple to unlock them;
- your age group (under 13, 13 to 15, or 16 and older), worked out from the year of birth you entered (section 7). It is never sent to us;
- if you turned on friends, the random code of your online profile.
We cannot see this information. If you back up your device with iCloud or a computer, Apple's backup may include it under your backup settings. Vibration uses your device's haptics and creates no data.
4. Game Center (optional)
You can play without Game Center. If you sign in to Game Center, the game sends your scores (distance and daily challenge) to Game Center to show the leaderboards. Apple runs Game Center and shows your Game Center nickname and picture to other players according to your Game Center settings.
To show the leaderboards, Apple gives the game, on your device, a player identifier and the leaderboard entries. The game uses them only for that and does not send or store them anywhere else. Online play and friends in SonhoGravity do not use your Game Center identity. Apple handles Game Center data under the Apple Privacy Policy. You can turn Game Center off in your device's Settings.
5. Purchases
All items can be unlocked for free by playing. If you buy an item, Apple processes the payment with your App Store account. We never see your card details or your Apple Account.
Apple tells the game, on your device, which items you own, so the game can unlock them and restore them with "Restore Purchases". Refunds are requested from, and decided by, Apple. The steps are in "Help with purchases" (sonholab.com/en/legal/sonhogravity-purchases), linked from the game's shop and settings.
6. Sharing, challenges and playing with others
6.1 Sharing the daily challenge. When you tap "Share", your device's share sheet opens with a short text: the challenge date and your distance. You choose whether to send it, which app to use and who receives it. That app's own privacy policy applies. Nothing is sent to SonhoLab.
6.2 Challenge a friend. You can share a challenge link with a world code (8 characters) and your distance, for example sonhogravity.sonholab.com/r/CODE?m=1234. The link contains no personal data. The game creates and reads the code on your device and does not contact our server for it; the link travels only inside the message you choose to send.
If someone opens the link in a web browser, our web page shows the code and links to the app stores. The page uses no cookies, analytics or third-party content. Like any website, our server records technical access logs: IP address, date and time, the address opened (including the code and distance) and the browser type. We keep them for 6 months for security and to comply with the law (in Brazil, the Marco Civil da Internet) and then delete them.
6.3 Playing over Wi-Fi. You can play with up to 8 people on the same Wi-Fi network, each on their own phone. The game asks for permission to use the local network only when you tap "Create room" or "Join". The phones connect directly to each other inside that network. Nothing goes to the internet or to SonhoLab: there is no server, relay or matchmaking.
Between the phones in the room travel only the game moves (step number, player and action) and, from time to time, a summary of the game state to check that everyone sees the same thing. The other phones in the room can see the local network address of the phone that created the room. There are no names, chat or free text: each person is "Player N". The host must accept each player who joins, and the room closes when the game starts. Nothing about the session is kept after it ends.
6.4 Playing online. To play with people who are not on your Wi-Fi network, the game connects to a relay on a SonhoLab server. The server is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH in Finland (European Union), and SonhoLab manages it from Brazil.
- Rooms with a code. One player creates a room and shares its code outside the game, for example in person. Only people who have the code can join.
- What travels. The relay passes the game moves between the phones in the room and the in-game name and picture of each player. It forwards them in real time and does not save matches, moves or results.
- Who sees what. The other players in the room see your in-game name, your picture and your moves. They do not see your IP address.
- Technical logs. Like any internet service, our server records the IP address and port of each connection, with the date and time. We use them only to make the connection work, keep the service secure and comply with the law (in Brazil, the Marco Civil da Internet requires us to keep them for 6 months). We keep them for 6 months and then delete them. We do not use them to contact anyone, to build profiles or to find out who you are.
6.5 Friends and quick matches. These features depend on your age group (section 7) and are off until you turn them on.
What each age group can do:
- Under 13: single-player and rooms with a code (6.4). No online profile, no friends and no quick matches.
- 13 to 15: friends by friend code. You add a friend by typing their code, and they must accept. There is no search. You can invite your friends to a room. No quick matches. In some countries, such as Brazil, friends are available from age 16. The game works out the country from your phone's region or your App Store country.
- 16 and older: everything above, plus quick matches with 2 to 4 random players, only among players aged 16 or older, with 3 rounds and a results board at the end. From the results board you can tap "Add as friend" to send a request that the other player must accept.
How friends work:
- Friendship is always mutual. The other player can accept or ignore your request. If they ignore it or turn it down, you cannot send them another request until 30 days after you sent the first one, and they are not told when you try again.
- Only your friends can invite you to a room. An invitation shows "X invites you" with "Join" and "Not now", and you never enter a room without tapping "Join". If it arrives during a match, it waits until the match ends. Once it is shown, it expires after 2 minutes. If it has waited more than 10 minutes, it is discarded without being shown, because the room has closed.
- You can remove a friend at any time. The friendship ends for both of you, and that player is not notified.
- Limits: up to 100 friends and up to 10 requests per hour.
- Friends can see whether you are online only if you turn on "Show when I'm online". It is off by default.
- Nobody can search for you, and nobody can see your friends list.
What our server stores (and nothing else):
- a fingerprint (hash) of your profile's random code, never the code itself;
- the number of your in-game name and picture;
- your friend code and your friendships (pairs of profiles);
- pending requests, until they are accepted or ignored, and for up to 7 days;
- a record of requests that were ignored or turned down, for up to 30 days from when they were sent, only to apply the 30-day wait;
- your "Show when I'm online" setting;
- if you are 16 or older, a mark that lets you use quick matches. It does not record your age or your year of birth.
Online status, invitations and the quick-match queue are kept only in the server's memory while they are needed. Quick matches and their results are not saved. After a quick match, the list of players in it stays in the server's memory for 15 minutes, only so you can tap "Add as friend" on the results board, and it is never written to disk. We keep no history of when you were online or with whom you played.
How long we keep it: until you delete your online profile, or 12 months after you last used it, when we delete it automatically. If you uninstall the game without deleting your profile, your phone loses the random code, so we can no longer link the profile to you; it is deleted after 12 months without use.
Why we use this data: to provide the online features you ask for (performance of our service) and, for the logs, to comply with the law and to keep the service secure. For players under 18, we use only what each feature needs and we set the most protective options by default.
6.6 Android test version. While SonhoGravity is not on Google Play, we offer a test version for Android that you download from our website (sonhogravity.sonholab.com), not from an app store. This notice applies to it too, with these differences:
- It has no purchases with money and no Game Center: items are unlocked only with in-game coins, and there are no leaderboards.
- Each time you open it, the game checks sonhogravity.sonholab.com for a newer version. The request contains no identifier and no data about you or your device; like any website, our server records the IP address, date and time for 6 months (section 6.4). If there is a new version, the game asks whether you want to download it; it never installs anything by itself, and the download opens in your browser, only from our website.
- It uses only these Android permissions: vibration, internet access and Wi-Fi state (for online and Wi-Fi play). It never asks for your location, camera, microphone or contacts.
- The game's data is not included in Android's automatic backup.
7. Children, teens and parents
Who the game is for. SonhoGravity is rated 13+ on the App Store. Anyone can play alone or in rooms with a code. The online features change by age group.
How the game checks the age group.
- The first time you tap Friends or Quick match, the game asks for your year of birth. The wheel has no year selected in advance. You can tap Back to leave without answering, and nothing is saved.
- The game keeps only the age group on your device and never sends it to us. We do not store your age.
- Where Apple's age range feature is available and you or your family agree to share it, the game also reads that age range and always applies the more protective of the two.
- If you said you were older than you are, tap "I'm younger than I said". The game asks again and only accepts a younger age group. If the new group is under 13, your online profile is deleted.
- The age group goes up only when Apple's age range shows an older one. You can also write to us (section 9).
Under 13. The game does not create an online profile and does not send us any information to identify the player. Rooms with a code still need a connection, so our server records the IP address and port, only as described in 6.4.
Teens. For players aged 13 to 17, friends and quick matches are off until the player turns them on, "Show when I'm online" starts off, and only friends can send invitations. The game never offers chat, voice, free text or contact with strangers outside a quick match (16 and older only). In some countries, such as Brazil, friends are available from age 16.
The game has:
- no ads and no profiling;
- no paid random items ("loot boxes");
- no rewards for play time or for coming back every day.
The game does not send notifications. Requests and invitations appear only while the game is open.
For parents. You can:
- check the friends list and turn friends off in the game's settings, on your child's device;
- delete the online profile with the "Delete online profile" button;
- use Apple's tools: Ask to Buy to approve purchases, and Screen Time to limit play time, purchases and Game Center.
See Apple's parental controls guide.
8. Your rights and how to delete your data
You can ask us to confirm whether we hold data about you, and to access, correct, delete or transfer it. You can also object to how we use it. We do not know your name or contact details, so the online profile is the only data we can link to you.
- Online profile: tap Settings > Friends > Delete online profile, or use the same button on the Friends screen. We delete it at once from the game server, together with your friendships and pending requests, and you disappear from your friends' lists. If you are offline, nothing is deleted on your phone until our server confirms the deletion. Friends data is not included in our scheduled backups; any copy in an automatic server snapshot is deleted within 30 days at most.
- If you cannot use the button, write to contacto@sonholab.com with the friend code shown in your profile. We may ask you to confirm the request from the game.
- Technical logs: they do not contain your profile and are deleted after 6 months. Because they hold only an IP address, we usually cannot link them to you.
- Game data: to delete everything the game keeps on your device, uninstall SonhoGravity. Copies in device backups remain until those backups are replaced or deleted.
- Purchases: purchases stay linked to your Apple Account and can be restored after you reinstall.
- Game Center data: manage it in your device's Settings or at privacy.apple.com.
We answer within 15 days. You may also complain to your data protection authority, such as Brazil's ANPD or the authority in your EU country.
