Sign PDF

Draw your signature and place it on the PDF. Free, no account, and the file stays on your device.

Drag your PDF here or click to choose it

Processed in your browser, never uploaded to any server.

Signing a contract, a school permission slip or a quote no longer means printing, signing by hand and scanning it back. Here you draw your signature with a mouse or with your finger on a phone, drop it where it belongs in the PDF and download the signed document. It all happens in your browser: the file never uploads.

How to sign a PDF in 3 steps

    1. Open your PDF

Drag the document into the upload area or pick it from your computer. It opens in the browser right away, with no wait and no queue.

    2. Draw and place your signature

Trace your signature with the mouse or with your finger on a touchscreen. Then drag it to the exact spot on the page and resize it.

    3. Download the signed PDF

Hit download and the signed PDF saves to your computer. The original stays untouched, so you can redo it if something looks off.

    When it comes in handy

    • Your landlord emails the lease as a PDF and wants it signed today, with no printer and no scanner involved.
    • A school secretary signs dozens of permission slips and letters a day and emails them straight back to parents.
    • A freelancer approves a client's quote from their phone while out running errands and sends it back signed on WhatsApp.

    Frequently asked questions

What happens to my files when I sign them?

Nothing leaves your device. The PDF opens and gets signed inside the browser, using your own computer's processor, so it never travels to a server of ours or anyone else's. Close the tab and no copy is left anywhere.

Is it free? Is there a limit on documents?

It's free with no limit: sign one document or fifty in the same day, without creating an account or leaving an email address. It doesn't add a watermark to the PDF or charge you to remove one, because there are no servers to pay for.

Does it count the same as a digital signature?

They're not the same thing. This tool stamps a visible signature, like the one you'd write by hand on paper, and it works for most everyday paperwork. It doesn't include a digital certificate, so it doesn't replace an advanced electronic signature where the law requires one.

Do I need to install a program or extension?

No. It runs in the browser you already have, on a computer, a tablet or a phone. There's nothing to install, not even an extension, and it doesn't ask for any special permission to read your files.

Can I sign from my phone with my finger?

Yes. On a touchscreen you draw with your finger, and it usually comes out better than with a mouse. If you don't like the stroke, erase it and try again as many times as you need before stamping it, and the original document stays untouched until you download the signed copy.
