Do my files get uploaded to a server?
No. The conversion happens inside your browser, with the file open in your own device's memory. The PDF never travels over the internet, so we can't see it or store it. Close the tab and nothing is left behind.
Is it free, or is there a file limit?

Do I need to install any software?

JPG weighs less and works well for email or for forms with a size cap. PNG holds up better on small text, tables, and edges, so it's the one to use if the image will be printed or zoomed in on.
Does it work with a PDF that has many pages?
Yes, though it helps to know your own device does the work: a document with hundreds of pages can take a while and use a lot of memory, especially on older phones. If it slows down, convert it in batches of a few pages.
