Favicon Generator

Upload your logo and download every favicon size in one ZIP. Free, no account needed, and the image never leaves your device.

Drag your image here or click to choose it

JPG, PNG or WEBP. Processed in your browser, never uploaded to any server.

Launching a new site or updating your logo means every browser and device wants the icon in a different size: 16x16 for the browser tab, 180x180 for an iPhone home screen, 512x512 for installing the site as an app. Resizing each one by hand in an image editor is tedious and easy to get wrong. Here you upload your logo once, and the tool generates all six sizes you need, ready to download together in a single ZIP. All the cropping and resizing happens right in your browser: the image never gets uploaded to a server.

How to generate a favicon in 3 steps

    1. Upload your logo or image

Drag the file into the upload area or select it from your device. It works with PNG, JPG, or any image you already have of your brand, and it processes instantly.

    2. Check the previews

The tool center-crops the image into a square and generates thumbnails for every size: 16x16, 32x32, 48x48, 180x180, 192x192, and 512x512. Check them before downloading to make sure the crop hasn't cut off an important part of the logo.

    3. Download the ZIP file

Hit download and you get a single ZIP file with all six PNGs ready to drop into your project. All that's left is linking them in your site's HTML with the right icon tags, or wherever your framework expects them.

    When it comes in handy

    • A developer is finishing a client's site at the last minute and needs favicon files right now, without opening Photoshop or exporting each size by hand.
    • A small business redesigns its logo and needs to swap out the old site icons for new ones that match the updated brand, without waiting on a designer for something this simple.
    • Someone builds a test landing page or a side project and wants the browser tab to look finished, with its own icon instead of the generic placeholder.

    Frequently asked questions

What happens to the image I upload?

Nothing leaves your device. The image gets cropped and resized inside your own browser, using your device's processor, so it never travels to any server of ours or anyone else's. Once you close the tab, no copy is kept anywhere.

Does it generate a .ico file?

No, the tool generates PNG files at each size, not the classic multi-resolution .ico format. That's enough for the vast majority of sites, since modern browsers fully support a PNG favicon declared with a link rel icon tag. If you specifically need an .ico file for an older system, this tool doesn't produce one.

Why does it crop my logo if I already uploaded the full image?

Every favicon size is square, so the tool center-crops the image before resizing it. If your logo is already square or has its main symbol centered, the result looks fine. But if it's a wide, rectangular logo, like a wordmark with text off to one side, the crop can cut off something important. In that case, it's better to upload just the icon or symbol on its own, without the text.

Is it free, with no limit on how many I can generate?

It's free with no limit: generate the favicon for one project or twenty, the same day, with no account and no email required. It doesn't add a watermark to the images or ask you to pay to unlock every size either.

What favicon sizes do I actually need for my site?

It depends on where it shows up, but the six sizes this tool generates cover the common cases: 16x16 and 32x32 for the browser tab and bookmarks, 48x48 for Windows, 180x180 so it looks sharp when someone saves the site to an iPhone home screen, and 192x192 and 512x512 for Android and for when the site gets installed as a web app.
