Remove EXIF Metadata

Remove GPS location and camera data from your photos without them leaving your device.

Drag your image here or click to choose it

JPG, PNG or WEBP. Processed in your browser, never uploaded to any server.

Every photo a phone takes stores more than the image: the GPS coordinates of the exact spot where it was shot, the device model, and the date and time. This tool wipes that record and hands back the same photo, ready to post or send without revealing where you live or work.

    How to remove the metadata

    1. Load your photos

Drag the images into the box or pick them from your device. They open inside the browser and are never sent to a server.

    2. Review the data

The tool shows you what it found in each file: GPS location, camera model, date and time. Confirm, and it deletes all of it.

    3. Download the clean image

Save the cleaned image to your device. To check it, load it back here: the tool will not find any location or date.

    When it comes in handy

    • You're selling furniture on Marketplace with photos taken inside your home: without the GPS data, nobody can pin down the address.
    • You email a client photos of a property or a product and would rather not send along the location and the time of the shot.
    • You post photos of your kids or your trips and don't want the school, the park or the hotel on the record.

    Frequently asked questions

Is it really free, or do I have to pay later?

It's free and there's no paid tier. You don't create an account, we don't ask for your email, and the images come out with no watermark. The tool exists so you get to know SonhoLab, the studio that built it.

Do my photos get uploaded to a server?

No. The browser opens the file on your own device, strips the metadata right there and hands the image back. Nothing travels over the internet, so neither we nor anyone else ever sees those photos.

Is there a limit on photos or file size?

We don't set a limit on how many, and there's no queue. The only real ceiling is your device's memory: since everything runs in the browser, a batch of very heavy images can take longer on an older phone.

Do I need to install any software?

No. It runs in the browser you already use, on a computer or a phone, with Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge. There's nothing to download and no special permissions to grant: you open the page and use it.

What exactly does it delete from the photo?

It removes the GPS coordinates, the camera or phone model, the date and time, and the shot settings. The image looks the same, though the file may weigh a little differently once it's saved again. What's inside the photo doesn't change.
